Two are retired bitches, kept as pets inside the house. Bluesky Queen (Michelin Bale x Stand Up Nice) and Venus Express (Awesome McLaren x Stand Up Nice). See them below... We have recently retired Blue Sky Libby (Mean Bean x Good Cheer) a highly promising bitch, who has won on a TAB track over 520m and would have been headed to Wenty Park, being more than capable of pinching a few wins there. However she was transferred to Victoria where she won at Healsville. She picked up a severe stopper tendon injury while in Victoria, which restricted her career somewhat. Despite many efforts to get her 100% sound, she only managed a very good 3rd at Bathurst on her return home from Victoria, before officially being retired. We are sure she will become our next foundation brood, as she has all the necessary attributes needed for a top brood. Great conformation, great nature (mad chaser), stamina, speed, great field sense, strong damline to Gail's Beauty plus her littermates were no slouches either. We look forward to breeding from her as soon as she comes in season, which should be around the September/November months. At the moment our current racing team is down to 3 greyhounds. Stole A Break - city class Joaldy - nearing retirement but still racing in great form, only runs up to 400m Bluesky Megan - erratic type in fields, but improving her times with each run. Has run placings over 450m and 520m.

Gee Peekaboo, I'd have to start counting from the start of my first winner at age 17! lol Although I did have a lot of time off in between where I was working full time and didn't have greyhounds, so in my 24 years involvement in the sport, I've trained probably about 18 years of it. With one or two dogs in work usually. And in two periods I did have up to 6 dogs in work at one time. My best expertise lies in the whelping/rearing part of the industry, as I love seeing a home grown pup win for their new owners. All the pups I have bred, are always for sale for the right price. Should have kept them all in hindsight, as I would be vastly rich by now! as all the pups I sold, won big money races for their new owners.

Took Tasha (Venus Express) to vet today to have a lump on hock looked at, as it had grown rapidly from a tiny pimple to a cancerous looking nasty black lump the size of 10 cent coin within 2 weeks. Bled everytime she bumped it.
Vet confirmed it was cancer, but was able to remove it all in a 15min operation. Tasha was very groggy waking up lol but is fine, ate her dinner with gusto. I have to take the bandage off in 2 days and the stitches out when it's healed up well.
Whew!!

Have just received news from the owners of Tasha's first litter (Venus Express), they are flying in trials! A few have started racing late last year, but were given plenty of time to mature as they seem to be 600m types.
Won't turn two years old til next month (April) but already one has raced over 600m.
So far these pups have made their debut;
BLUESKY WONDER - close 2nd at first start, got marred in run to the line when in winning position.
NAVARRE EXPRESS - 9 starts - 5 2nds all over 600m, getting close to a win
COOK'S EXPRESS - 8 starts - 1 win 2 2nds
PRIDE OF ADDIS - 5 starts - 1 2nd 2 3rds (At Angle Park. Getting ready to step up to 600m)

Funny, just saw this page ;D that dog above, Methanol, was actually purchased by my friend within days of the advertisement being placed, and was sent to me to be trained.
Over two years later, 4 wins later, Methanol is still with me, such a good honest chaser, would go through brick walls to get to the front in a race. Unfortunately dropped a back muscle when in a winning position at his last start at Cowra a few months ago :-( but leg has now healed and he is in light work, despite being 4 years old now, I am hopeful of him making a comeback to racing and getting a couple more wins as he absolutely loves racing, is missing it daily, getting so aggressive and raring to go!
